Job Description:
We are seeking for a qualified Senior Analyst, Corporate Business Development to join our management team. The Senior Analyst will participate with partners on all aspects of the deal process including:
Due diligence: Business fundamentals, market research, management assessment, competitive analysis, financial and exit modeling.
Deal sourcing: Developing relationships with leading private companies by proactively meeting with entrepreneurs and investment bankers. Additionally, generating deal flow by attending investment events, tradeshows and conferences.
Working with the management team to create and execute sector investment plans.
Assisting with selected portfolio company projects.
Responsibilities:
Assist in creating presentations and management reports for clients and executive management.
Develop bottoms up and detailed business cases, valuation analyses and supporting analyses for transactions under consideration.
Assist in identifying and analyzing candidates for partnership/acquisition.
Work with Principals to assist in the execution on strategic transactions.
Assist in coordinating and managing due diligence phase of acquisitions and divestitures.
Collect and digest large amounts of data/information quickly and prioritize accurately.
Prepare acquisition candidates´ profiles, target lists, and updating proprietary databases.
Understand market environment as it relates to valuation and worth of deal targets: key drivers, trading company multiples, precedent transactions etc.
Work with Principals and Accounts as well as independently be able to generate financials for acquisitions post close and measure against the approved business case.
Assist in ascertaining reasons for variances and communicate them to the management team.
Assist in executing M&A, joint venture, partnership and other strategic transactions/projects.
Assume other special projects/assignments as directed by the management team.
Qualifications, Skills & Education:
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA/CPA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of progressive financial experience.
Experience in Venture Capital/Private Equity a plus.
Experience preparing tax returns, a plus.
Advanced Excel modeling skills.
Must be able to work in a fast paced & rapidly changing environment.
Possess strong analytical skills and overall business acumen.
